Job overview

The accounting assistant supports the accounting department by performing a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the company’s financial and accounting processes.
Under the supervision of the department manager, the Accounting Assistant is primarily responsible for entering daily accounting transactions, tracking invoices, and managing financial records.

 

Main tasks & responsibilities

  • Monitor daily payments received
  • Prepare invoice payments
  • Prepare monthly or quarterly VAT registers for the various EU countries where PG sells tickets, ensuring their accuracy
  • Provide information to tax representatives for VAT filings, record corresponding entries, and perform related reconciliations
  • Verify the proper reconciliation of brokerage customer and supplier accounts for each event, making necessary corrections
  • Prepare and record accounting entries (general expenses, bank transactions, provisions, etc.) independently, following the appropriate posting schemes
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Track and enter employee expense reports in the accounting system
  • Assist auditors during the annual audit of accounts related to distribution activities

Requirements

  • Accounting degree (BTS in Accounting or DCG)
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
  • Experience with an ERP system or complex information system
  • Excellent proficiency in standard office tools (Excel: pivot tables, etc.)
  • Availability required during audits and at the end and beginning of the month for closing activities
  • English skills desired
  • Autonomous, precise, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure
  • Technical curiosity
  • Strong interpersonal skills
